My love for ‘being there’ led me to pursue an education that would get me ‘there’. First stop was Germaine School of Photography in NYC. While photo assisting in with various photographers by day, by night I started to document night life in NYC, most notably Studio 54. Eventually it became a job and I found myself servicing some of the NY newspapers on a regular basis (New York Post, Daily News) with photos of various celebrities who also liked the ‘night life’. The most notable photo was of Madonna and Sean Penn on their very first date. That photo led to many job opportunities, my cameras and I moved to Los Angeles where I became a ‘Red Carpet’ photographer. My most well known clients were People Magazine, Vogue, In-Style, Detour and as I got more serious in my work, I became the West Coast Photographer for George Magazine.
Several years ago (after losing my parents, while looking thru family albums and seeing pages of blurred and faded photos, I found ONE acceptable photo of myself with my own family, plus their beautiful Wedding Album) I decided to direct my cameras into the wedding/portrait arena.
Photography is my passion in my life and I continue to grow, learn and expand my capacities. Currently I am learning Video Fusion. My belief is to learn, learn and then learn some more!
